"My order involved scanning over 500 35mm slides.While they were all high quality photos, they were taken over a period of over 60 years,with at least three differant cameras and several differant films. The first scan, as posted on the DigMyPics website, was disappointing. Many of the pictures had poor color balance and/or were much too dark. I telephoned my sad story to DigMyPics and got "Priscilla" on the line. Instead of a big argument over my complaint, Priscilla agreed with me and proceeded to review and expertly tone-up each photo. "I've used Dig-my-Pics 3 times now and I've been totally happy with the results every time. First I did 2,000 slides to .tiff on dvd, then 900 slides to .jpg for my mother and finally I had them copy the original stuff again in case I ever damaged them. "I have received DigMyPics' digitalized conversion of my 35mm slides, and must say that I am less than impressed with the quality of the product. On your website, you go into great detail demonstrating the time and effort you put into the scanning process, providing "examples" of how you are able to correct many of the defects of slide aging, and showing several impressive examples of the digitalization of customers' slides. For my slides, I find little evidence of any quality improvement -much less quality control- and have had to spend many hours editing your digitalized product, repairing gross lighting and tint problems, among others. I know that there are several choices available to consumers in selecting a company to digitalize their slides and photos. I chose DigMyPics, at somewhat of a cost premium, because I believed that the quality you promised was worth it. Unfortunately, that quality was missing in the product I received.
